Compact and rugged turbine meters are widely used to measure the fuel oil consumption of main engine. For each engine a turbine meter is installed on the fuel oil inlet line while another is installed on the fuel oil return line. Only two cables are needed to link each turbine meter to the engine fuel oil monitoring panel.
With the aid of a PLC and LC-Display, the engine fuel oil consumption can be displayed by calculating the difference in volumetric readings obtained from the two turbine-meters. Each LC-Display can typically handle up to 4 sets of main engine. The picture above is showing a fuel oil monitoring system that can handle 8 sets of main engine by using 2 sets of LC-Display and 16 units of turbine-meter. Usually a small printer is also incorporated into the system to provide print-out copy of the fuel oil consumption.
Main components we can offer:
1. Fuel Oil Monitoring Panel complete with LC-Display.
2. Turbine-meters (screw or flanged connection; rating PN16)
3. Epson dot-matrix printer.
