CMF Series Mass Flowmeter (hereafter we call Coriolis Mass Flowmeter) is designed according to the Coriolis Principle. It can be widely used for the process detecting and custody transfer/fiscal unit in many industries such as petroleum, petroleum and chemical, chemical industry, pharmacy, paper making, food and energy, and so on.

Measuring Principle


Coriolis Mass Flowmeter is designed according to the principle of Coriolis force. It has two parallel vibrating tubes. During the operation, a driver stimulates the tubes to vibrate at a resonant frequency of the system.

As the flow passes through the tubes, the fluid momentum coupled with the oscillatory motion created by the vibration induces a Coriolis force along the length of the tubes. This force causes the tubes to twist in opposition to each other and translates into a phase shift (or time delay) along the length of the tube.

Phase Shift is directly proportional to the Mass Flow Rate, while Density can be measured based on the frequency.
