The measuring principle of portable ultrasonic flowmeter is based on ultrasound transmission through a liquid. Transit time measuring technique utilizes two transducers, which function as both ultrasonic transmitters and receivers. The ultrasound waves traveling in the direction of the flow of the liquid require less time than when traveling in the opposite direction. The subsequent time difference is directly proportional to the flow velocity in the pipe. Having measured the flow velocity and knowing the pipe cross-sectional area, the volumetric flow can be easily calculated.
• Non-invasive type measurement, no interruption to process and no risk of contamination. It takes
just a few minutes to install and there is no need to shut down flow or drain the system
• With capabilities of measuring bi-directional flow and pipe diameter range from 13mm to 2000mm
• Datalogging function, 98000 data points logged events distributed across up to 20 sites.
• RS232/USB output facility that can be used to download logged data to a PC or printer.
• 4-20mA/Pulse output, USB, RS232 cables are provided as standard with the flow meter.
• Water/wastewater
